Learn how to sew

Learn to sew at your own pace! This is a private class where we will cover the basics of sewing, at a pace that works for you. For kids this is also a way to achieve the pre-requisite for getting into our intermediate classes. In the first hour we will go through each part of the machine so you have a good understanding of how it works. In the second hour of class we will make a small project so you can go home with your first project completed.

If you have your own machine you are welcome to bring it. We have machines for you to use so owning your own machine is not necessary. If you are bringing a machine please make sure that it is in working order and you have all the attachments and manual.

We will make a drawstring bag in the first lesson and after that we have a variety of beginner projects to choose from should you choose to continue on with lessons. Our goal is to get you sewing independently as quickly as possible so you can enjoy your sewing adventures.

Contact us to schedule your class before or after purchasing this listing.

If you have fabric you would like to use feel free to bring it along. We provide all materials needed for this class and have a good selection of fabric, however bringing a fabric you truly love is a great way to make a project even more memorable. Please keep to quilting weight cottons with no stretch and pre washed to prevent shrinkage.
